After Graduating from Wesleyan University with dual majors in Economics and Psychology, Dr. Fingerhood worked as a consultant at a Big 4 Accounting Firm and from there transitioned into buy-side equity research. Michael then completed his post-baccalaureate pre-medical coursework at Harvard University extension school while working as a research assistant in the Shaw lab at the Broad institute. He then went on to complete a 5-year MD/MPH program at Columbia University where he was awarded a DDRF fellowship. He then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at NYU Medical Center, a Pulmonary Disease fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and a Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center. Michael received  awards at regional and national conferences for his research presentations during his fellowship training. He is widely published in peer reviewed medical journals and is a sought after lecturer and consultant.

Dr. Fingerhood is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
